“A friendly and welcoming stay”

“It instantly felt like home. The staff are so friendly and dinner is communal — a great time to chat with other guests. They were super accommodating for vegetarian food. Sitting under the tree at night was a highlight.”

“One hundred percent worth the visit.”

"A special place on the road from Nairobi to Arusha. Staffed by local people and all revenue going to fund education for girls and micro business opportunities for women. The food is simple but nourishing and served in a communal room open for cultural sharing. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Many opportunities for learning and helping from this base. ENJOY."

Yes. Our showers are heated using a solar water system, so you can enjoy a warm rinse after a long day of travel or adventure.

Because solar heating depends on sunlight, hot water may occasionally be limited on cloudy days. If that happens, our staff will gladly heat water over the fire and provide it in a clean bucket for your use. Just let us know, and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.
